Golden City Plastering service works for owner-builders and domestic home builders in and around the Bendigo districts area to complete the plastering work of their newly constructed dream home

We do a lot of our plasterboard installations and stopping up and trowelling, finishing, and sanding back ready for painting

For most of the project builders in and around the Bendigo area

like JG King, Langdon building, Metricon, Simonds and GJ Gardener homes just to name a few of the project builders

We also work for smaller private residential building companies around Bendigo like McCarthy Homes, Todd Newman Builders, and Murray Wearne builders, Paul Gray just to name a couple

What do we do before we start new build houses?

1.           When we start a new build, we work off the plans of the house to order the materials we need for the job and get them delivered to the job site

2.           Then we send in our hanging crew what they will do is they will screw the metal battens to the roof if they have not been done then they will put the insulation in and walls then they will glue and screw the plaster panels to the studs and roof battens

3.

Then we send in our finishing plasterers so what they will do is they will tape up the joins in the plaster sheets then they will do what is called a 3-coat trowel on all screw’s holes and joins this is the most common finishes we do in all of domestic building construction

4.

Then the finishing crew will come back 24 to 36 hours after the last coat and start the sanding back process

Modern Construction Services We Specialize In

New domestic construction

When drywalling a new home in Bendigo, attention to detail and proper installation techniques are essential for achieving a seamless and high-quality finish. The process begins by ensuring that the framing of the home is structurally sound and properly aligned. Next, measurements are taken to determine the size and quantity of drywall sheets needed for each wall and ceiling. The wallboard sheets are then cut to size, taking into account any openings for windows, doors, or electrical outlets. The plasterboard sheets are then attached to the framing using gyp board screws, ensuring they are securely fastened and flush with the surface. You should take extra care into consideration when staggering the joints between sheets to minimize visible seams. Once all the sheets are installed, the joints are covered with supabord tape, and a combining compound is applied over the tape. Multiple layers of bonding compound are added and sanded back between each layer to create a smooth and even surface. Finally, the wallboard is ready for priming and painting, leaving the new home in Bendigo with a flawless and professionally finished interior.

Portable home

When gyprock sheeting a new portable construction building, attention to detail and proper installation techniques are crucial for achieving a high-quality finish. The process begins by ensuring that the building's framework is structurally sound and properly aligned. Next, the plasterboard panels are measured and cut to fit the walls and ceilings, taking into account any openings for windows, doors, or electrical outlets. The panels are then attached to the framework using screws, ensuring that they are securely fastened and flush with the surface. Care should be taken to stagger the joints between sheets to minimize visible seams. Once all the sheets are installed, any gaps or seams between them are filled with joint compound and covered with gyprock tape. Multiple layers of joint compound are applied and sanded down between each layer to create a smooth and seamless surface. Finally, the gyprock sheets are ready for painting or other finishing touches, resulting in a professionally finished portable construction building

Prefab construction

When gyp boarding prefab homes, the process is similar to that of newly built homes. However, there may be some additional considerations to take into regard. Prefab homes often have specific wall configurations or materials that require special techniques or products for drywall plastering. It is important to consult with the manufacturer or a professional finisher to ensure that the correct materials and methods are used. Additionally, prefab homes may have unique architectural features or designs that require extra care and attention during the drywall plastering process. Overall, the key is to ensure that the drywall plastering is done in a way that complements the prefab home's construction and design.

Luxury homes

When it comes to wall boarding luxury homes, we do a level 5 finish the focus is on achieving a flawless and high-end finish. Luxury homes often feature high-quality finishes and exquisite architectural details, which require a skilled finishers to execute the plastering with precision. The process begins with ensuring that the sheet panels are properly installed, with any gaps or seams filled and covered with supabord tape. A thin layer of bonding compound is then applied over the tape and smoothed out with a trowel. This process is repeated until the entire surface is covered with a joint compound. After the joint compound has dried, it is sanded down to create a smooth and even surface. A level 5 finish will look great under any intensive light, harsh shadows, or high glossy paint so you won't see any joins or screw holes we look over our work to see if further finishing needs to be carried out, ensuring that the drywall plastering enhances the luxurious aesthetic of the home.
